Virginia Restrictions Prevent Us from opening the May show
I am very disappointed to report we will not be able to present the May 2021 Show at the Dulles Expo. The State of Virginia mandate limiting indoor gatherings to 500 people prevents us from opening.
The DC Big Flea typically houses 500 to 600 dealers ....so under the State Rule there is no room for customers giving us no choice. We are very frustrated and have waited until the last possible moment hoping the ruling would change.
Two pieces of positive news however; it is clear that as the COVID vaccination program progresses indoor gathering numbers will rise. There is a good possibility our July show will occur and our shows will go forward. Additional dates are reserved later in this year at the Dulles Expo. This includes September 4-5 , October 9-10, and November 6-7. Labor Day Weekend should be a great show date, drawing large crowds since people are out and about on that weekend. I’ve also added October 9-10 as an extra fall date and November 6-7 as usual.
Clearly there is pent up public demand for our DC Big Flea to return. Our social media posts reflect this as well as the reports about shows in other parts of the country. Adding October 9-10 to our show lineup will further get our businesses on track.
I promise to keep you informed of any new developments and thank you so much for your continued patience during these trying times. Most importantly stay safe and well.
Any deposits paid to us will be refunded or rolled over. Please email us at email@example.com. Our office hours are limited but leave a message and we will call you back 757-430-4735
